COVID-19 Update: Oshawa and Durham Region in the Red Control category

Oshawa and Durham Region have moved into the revised Red – Control category of the province's COVID-19 response framework. As result, all recreation facilities are currently closed. 

As of Monday, March 1, the following City recreation facilities will reopen for limited use by appointment only: Civic Recreation ComplexDelpark Homes CentreDonevan Recreation Complex and South Oshawa Community Centre. Community members will be able to book their next visit beginning on Wednesday, February 24.

The City of Oshawa's Recreation and Culture Services Branch operates and maintains 4 indoor tennis courts, and 2 international squash courts at the Civic Recreation Complex.

Exclamation MarkService Disruption: Online tennis court bookings unavailable

In an effort to improve the user experience with our online tennis court booking system, we have removed the ability for tennis courts to be booked online through the activeOshawa Online Registration website. Community members requesting to book a tennis court are asked to contact the Civic Recreation Complex at 905-436-5454 during the hours as noted below:

  • Monday to Friday: 6:30 a.m. to 9:30 p.m. 
  • Saturday and Sunday from 8:30 a.m. to 8:30 p.m. 

Please note, all other online bookings for leisure admissions are still available at this time.

Oshawa residents now have advance booking privileges at recreation facilities. Membership holders also get advance booking privileges at recreation facilities depending on their membership type. Learn more about our memberships and admissions

  • ​​​Oshawa residents looking to take advantage of their ten or three day advance booking privileges are asked to call 905-436-3311 to complete their booking request, as these requests cannot be completed online. All other community members are encouraged to book their visit online.
