Programs for children 5 and under

COVID-19 Update:
To learn how COVID-19 is impacting programs and services offered by Recreation and Culture Services, please visit COVID-19 Updates or our frequently asked questions. For information about the reopening of Recreation and Culture Services’ programs, services and facilities, and the corresponding COVID-19 health and safety protocols, please visit Reopening Recreation.

Please note, programs and services listed on this webpage may not be available at this time.

Before you go, you should know:

  • COVID-19 Vaccination Requirements: Parents and caregivers are required to show proof of vaccination to participate in a recreation program with their child.
  • Having fun can be messy sometimes. We recommend not wearing new or expensive clothes to programs.
  • Indoor shoes are great for playing and running, they are much safer than sock feet.
  • Parented programs: Some preschool programs require parents or guardians to actively participate in the program. Review course tittles, or descriptions, for more information.
  • Child only programs: Preschoolers are required to be toilet trained and out of diapers.
  • Ice programs: CSA approved hockey helmets are mandatory for everyone on the ice. This includes a full mask for participants under the age of 18.

To search for a course:

  • Enter the course code from the activeOshawa Recreation Program Guide into the Course ID# field
  • Enter the title of the course into the Search field. Please note returned results will include your searched word(s) from course titles and descriptions.

Tips for searching for courses:

  • Every filter option does not need to be entered to complete a search.
  • Hold the "Ctrl" key and click to select multiple values or to remove a selection.
  • Select the Reset button to clear all information entered into the search fields.

Community members requiring assistance with their registration, or those looking to take advantage of their advance booking privileges, are able to contact a Recreation Information Clerk by phone for assistance. For facility contact information and hours of availability, please visit our Program Registration webpage with details listed under the phone-in registration section.
