Recreation facility closures:
Effective Wednesday, January 5,
 2022, in accordance with the province-wide orders, City recreation facilities will temporarily close for all recreation programs and services. 
This includes the Arts Resource Centre, Civic Recreation ComplexChildren’s ArenaDelpark Homes CentreDonevan Recreation ComplexHarman Park ArenaNorthview Community Centre and South Oshawa Community Centre. 

See the below for information on how facility closures will impact:

• Start dates for registered programs for the activeOshawa Winter 2022 program session will be adjusted to begin once recreation facilities are able to reopen. Should community members wish to withdraw from a program, please contact a recreation facility for assistance.

• Leisure admissions, including bookings for arenas, courts, fitness centres, gymnasiums, pools, tracks, and fieldhouse that were booked during the facility closures will be cancelled. Full refunds will be issued for any cancelled booking.

activeOshawa 2022 Winter Recreation Programs

Warm up with activeOshawa this winter.

This winter sees the continuation of many of the most popular in-person recreation and culture programs. Programs and services have been designed to provide community members with a way to keep active, stay connected and be engaged while following COVID-19 health and safety protocols.

Program registration begins at 9:00 a.m. on Friday, December 17, 2021. 

The City of Oshawa’s top priority remains the safety and health of our community members and staff as we work together to limit the spread of the COVID-19 virus. Recreation and Culture Services is using a phased approach for the reopening of programs and services, while ensuring compliance with Provincial emergency orders and Durham Region Health guidelines.
